Keith, I doubt it was a surge. Isn't the KRC-2 powered by a 12V power supply with a regulated output? IMHO, the power supply would have taken the hit in a power surge. I have run Astron 12V power

Our Elecraft KRC-2 unit that we used to automatically change antennas and perform other fail safe functions failed.? I sent it back to Elecraft for repairs.? The problem with it is a bad chip (U4)
