I think W4AAW is now W4RN.

I would like to be part of the effort ¡ but
it probably best to have a limited number of players on the
first round¡I was part of the W4AAN team that was quite
successful in n1mm multi op with a VPN network¡ There a number
of things that require exact attention to detail.? The ones I
recall were keeping everyone on the same n1mm version, some
rotator programming, and the necessity to limit signing on and
off during the contest. It might be a good idea to talk to
W4AAW or one of his guru¡¯s and save a lot of aggravation.

Ralph
(K1ZZI) and I are going to do a Mulit-Single entry
into the coming CQ WW WPX CW contest (see:
) at the end of this month.? It should be fun to see
how we and the remote perform.? If nothing else, it
will be a "learning" experience!
?
I'd
previously sent a lot of information to the group
on this type of "distributed network operation" so
this note will be brief.
We
will be networking N1MM Logger+ on the remote
using an Hamachi VPN network and "KY" command
function keys cor CW programmed in N1MM.
Since
this is all software based, no additional hardware
is required either at the W7DXX server or at your
home station - BUT - software installs and
configurations are required to make this work!? If
you are not familiar with N1MM this is probably
NOT the time to attempt to learn to use it in
this networked environment.
While
this will not be a full time operation, you may
find us working the contest just when you need to
use the remote.? If this occurs, please "ASK" if
you need to use the remote so we can relinquish
control to you - and - please "? /open? " when you
are done so we may resume working the contest.
If
you are interested in joining our team, please
let me know immediately.
Thanks
