Thank you Don.
Keith, good luck with the surgery. We're all rooting for you.

Hello to the group.? I just got off the phone with Keith and he wanted
me to give everyone an update.
First - the KPA1500 has been shipped to Elecraft for repair.? There is
NO estimate on when this will be completed.? I can tell you from my
recent experience that it will likely be a month or perhaps more.
Second - here is what happened with the internet.? We use a 5gig link
between "home" and the remote site.? Aiming the antennas is touchy but
relatively simple and that has not been a? problem.? The problem is the
growth of vegetation.? When the up-link was physically located at
Keith's home, all was well until mother nature allowed vegetation to
grow and get in the path of the link - NO, I don't know just when that
occurred.? Subsequently, the 5gig up-link was moved to Charles's home
where it worked well until mother nature took over again!?
Now - instead of continuing to try to defeat mother nature, Keith is
arranging with another provide whose 5gig link is right at the airport
- easy line of site - no potential obstructions.? This should increase
reliability as well as provide shorter delay times.
The timeline for the 5gig connection to be set is about a week plus -
so - anticipate that the remote will be down for at least another week
while this is completed.? Once completed, we should be in great shape.
Initially, the configuration will be Log => Coax => K3??? This will
provide 100 watts on all modes to all bands 20-6 meters.? 40 meters
will not be available until the KPA1500 is returned and the 40 meter
array is connected to the KPA1500 second antenna port.
Add to the mix that Keith is having eye surgery on Tuesday and you can
easily see (no pun intended - but I'll take it) that everything seems
to conspire to frustrate us all.? But - relief is on the horizon - keep
the faith and stay tuned -- '73 es gud dxing -- Don N4HH
