If the purpose is one-way, outbound communication then is not the right tool. Either continue to just use email or an email blast service like mailchimp.

Hi all! Stiv Ostenberg, K9STV, Community Outreach Officer for Southern Peninsula Emergency Communications System. We have started a Meetup down south, and are trying to tie together all the Ham Clubs and Organizations in Santa Clara County so events are easier to discover. If you have events you want to open to folks down south, I can grant Host permission to create events on our Meetup. I am trying to pioneer an effort to encourage Elmers to host events, and I have some guidelines to help them get started.
