To the members of PARC,
I have been a member of PARC, for a little over a year now.? I became involved in Amateur Radio, because my husband suggested it.? We wanted to remove our landline and quit paying AT&T, to allow folks to harass us with telemarketing calls.? We wanted a back up form of communication that didn't rely on the cell service.? I never dreamed in a million years, that I would find so much enjoyment in ham radio.? I have had so much fun, and met some of the best people around.? The ham community is one of the most helpful, supportive, and encouraging.? Learning to build antennas, participating in Field Days, contests, fox hunts, and catching up with friends on weekly nets, are all part of the new and exciting experiences I have had because of ham radio.? I would like to pay this forward, by announcing my willingness to be nominated for the position of Vice President of PARC, and ask for your support in our upcoming election.
