Hi Jen and welcome aboard. Both Uber and Lyft are available here in the Chicago area, and I've used them both briefly with sighted companions. I'm an iPhone user and briefly used the Uber app. At the time it was mediocre with VoiceOver, but hopefully that has changed for the better. I don't travel much independently anymore, due primarily to the fact that the ADA paratransit in my area stinks. Well...I suppose for some of us it does. Only those who have signed up for subscription service--meaning that you don't have to phone in every single morning and wait for what seems like eternity--have it pretty well made in the shade. I think those are the riders who go to one set destination for most or all of their trips. But anyway, it's great to have you.
