No SSB output

I have output in CW mode, but 0 in SSB.
Even doing TX IQ with 750hz tone or 2 tone TX 0 output.
FW is the 66.9?

Do you see a modulation envelope on the screen?

If you take the Mic wires off the pins on the hat and just place your finger on Hat PIN 4 and key the radio, you will see a 60 cycle pattern in the display and hear that in the transmitted signal.? If not, there is something up with either the firmware, a selection in the menu (try a different EQ), or the hat itself.

Is the 750hz and 2 tone frequencies generated in Audio Hat?
Still mucking around trying figure out why no carrier in SSB mode.
Tim?
?

Yes they are. Step through the circuit starting at the audio hat. Do you see the 750 Hz audio tone on the I and Q outputs of the audio hat? Then, walk through the transmit chain on the RF board and find where the signal disappears.

Put scope on the IQ out pins and I don't detect and signals when in TX IQ calibrate
Tim

Are you certain that your PTT button is working? You should hear relays click when you press it. If the PTT button is working, then a lack of signals out of the audio hat implies that the hat is not working for some reason. I'm assuming that the I2C connection to the audio hat did not have a fault on the BIT screen at boot?

PTT working, it goes into TX and amps increase, relays click.
I2C checked out on all but BPF which I am using 3rd party BCD to control.
Audio hat works fine for RX.

Tim,

?

Oliver is correct… if the audio hat + software is working… you should see a audio-like waveform on J17… which is the generated I/Q output to the RF board.? You can trace that back to PINS 1 and 2 (I and Q) on the hat.? If you don’t see anything there to ground (and its about 0-200 mv), no sense going down stream to the RF, BPF, LPF etc. until that works.

It's not real clear where to connect the I and Q outputs (line out left and right) on the Audio Adapter.? Referring to the back side of the Audio adapter:
?
Where it says
LINE
OUT

To the right this are three vias, with L G R underneath them.
That is left channel, ground, and right channel line out.? "Line out" is an audio term, but we are calling it I and Q channels.
It is good that the ground is in the middle, because you can easily flip the connector if you end up with I and Q channels reversed.

Another thing about the audio adapter is that it was not involved with the receiver in the original T41.? I'm not sure about V12.
T41EEE.9 uses the Audio Adapter's headphone output for receiver audio, but that is its only involvement in the receiver.
Also interesting is that there is a 2nd audio adapter device instantiated in the code and it has associated commands.? These commands do nothing.

I have been hooking up to the pins Iq out on main board, the ones we installed with rt angle pins.
I will also try this connector.

V12 still relies on an external audio amp.

Edited

There has to be a 3 wire cable from the Audio Adapter LGR going down to the Main board.
Looks like the matching connector on the V12 Main board is J22.

Hi Jack, I'm looking at the V12 schematic, and the external audio amp is driven by the PCM5102 DAC IC.? It looks like the same audio path as V10/V11.

I’m not sure if this part was clear… but you should have jumper wires that go from the 90 degree pins on the MAIN board next to the processor up to the appropriate pins on the hat per the schematic (eg there is no other connection to those hat pins thru the Teensy).? I’m driving so can’t take a pic.? Someone else may be able to post.

If you got this right, please ignore.
