Re: Oscillations on high bands
Looking at Ver66-09, I have changed the calls to setBPFPath() so they are the same regardless of CW/SSB mode. No difference, still oscillates :(. Of course, it's still possible for code somewhere else

Re: LPF-Control PCB TX Logic at U3 & U7
No problem¡ Jerry just confirmed it¡¯s a software bug that got in between version 50.0 and 66.9. I¡¯ll let the software gurus figger out where the bug is. There are plenty of ya here in the forum

Oscillations on high bands
I just downgraded to V50.0. No oscillation. So it is a software problem. "Ver 063-1-beta" - oscillates. "Ver 066-7-SWR" from 3/5/2025 - oscillates "Ver 065" from 2/20/2025 - oscillates "Ver053" - does

Thanks Bill -- I'll build it from the parts.

I can't help because my system's been down for over a month and I haven't been able to do anything with the software. Jack, W8TEE

Re: LPF-Control PCB TX Logic at U3 & U7
My testing indicates this is the problem area. I removed C18 and the problem went away. Obviously, as Bill indicated, this is not a fix. I think that the state of the switches (U1, U8, U3, U7) in SSB

Ok if I just send you the board and parts to build your own? That will save me some time and its very easy to build. Dr. William J. Schmidt - K9HZ J68HZ 8P6HK ZF2HZ PJ4/K9HZ VP5/K9HZ PJ2/K9HZ VP2EHZ

Re: LPF-Control PCB TX Logic at U3 & U7
Its not a hardware problem. The radio has been working fine until recently when some software mods were made. Use some sound deductive reasoning here. This problem did not exist a month ago with any

Re: LPF-Control PCB TX Logic at U3 & U7
So I think what you are saying is that either: 1. TX_BFP_SEL is on (=1) and RX_BPF_SEL is off (=0) for TX ¡OR 2. TX_BFP_SEL is off (=0) and RX_BPF_SEL is on (=1) for RX. I wonder how/why that got

Re: LPF-Control PCB TX Logic at U3 & U7
Oliver, I was having some kind of feedback/oscillation problems a couple of weeks ago and traced it back to the T/R switch also. The relays and associated parts all checked out but, when I removed the

I'm not sure the entire signal path.? But there is a lot of gain in the power amplifier, about 50 dB or more. Those switches have an isolation of about 48 dB in the HF range.? So two of them in

Re: LPF-Control PCB TX Logic at U3 & U7
The situation I think we might have is that both TX_BPF_SEL *and* RX_BPF_SEL are HIGH during SSB transmit. This lets a little bit of the transmitted signal leak through the TR switch back into the

Bill: my new radio layout is prone to the display freezes, so I'd be happy to test one of your display buffers (5V) if you have any available for testing.
