I am thinking along the same way as you Steve; I still don't own a ASIAir but considering buying one (see
/g/ServoCAT/topic/anybody_tried_servocat/105389837) if I can make it work with my current setup.
AFAIK, the ServoCAT protocol is a subset of SkyCommander's, and so both should be compatible at least to some degree. So a quick test would be to see if SkyCommander is supported in the list of ASIAir mounts. If so, it'd be interesting to know what happens if one selects "SkyCommander" as mount, and connect the ASIAir to the USB port on the ServoCAT.
