can someone confirm what the 100% jib sail area? I saw one listing stating the sail area was 222 sq ft. given that the total sail plan with 100% jib is 350 - 375 (seems to vary based upon source) -

Dave, some people will use a rigid boom vang like a boomkicker or a strut type... Garhauer makes a good quality strut type for fairly low cost. I use a boomkicker which works great. You shoud sail

Note that the settings I refer to below are for the Loos professional PT-2 Gauge, not the smaller gauge. Apparently the scales are different for these gauges

Loos gauge values?
