David, Your HIN looks like it should with the "H" = August, maybe I need to go take another look and make sure mine is something other than a 0.

Hi George, Nice to see another 27 in TN, where are you located? Here is the link to the Hull Checker on the TWRA I haven't had any problems in the past either, but now there is some new rule that the USCG has mandated. Since we own "sisters" your number is most likely the same format as mine.

I'm in Tn as well and haven't had any problems in the past. Hull number 16 here. If I think of it I will check my hull number this weekend for comparison.
