When I took my 1GM10 out last winter I unbolted the mounts from the boat rather than struggle with the locking nuts. I can't visualize a way to replace the mounts one at a time without lifting the engine.
In my opinion, it will be necessary to re-align the engine/shaft couplings no matter what.
To that end, I found the only reasonable access was to remove the water tank and the plywood panel between it and the engine so I could work from the cockpit locker. (The rental yard was out of leprechauns with headlamps.)
That still meant climbing in and out when the front mounts needed a twist. A two person team would be optimum.
The good side benefit was being able to really scrub and hose out the water tank and nasty fill pipe.
Give the shaft bolts a WD-40 or PB blaster dose every week for a month before you try to move them.
But maybe the thing to keep in mind here is that the little bugger will shake like crazy after all that work anyway.
