Web Page Outline for your RPG

I know it sounds like one of the many junk mails that you probably
get in your email, at least I do, but I'm just another member of
RPG_Sanctuary trying to help out my fellow RPGer's.

First off, if you are an HTML expert, this is probably just amusing
to you and you create your own RPG web pages any way. I'm aiming
this idea more towards people who aren't the experts of HTML and want
to have a web site that looks good for their RPG without a lot of
head scratching. (Although HTML experts may find this idea
interesting.)

In the files section of the RPG_Player_Sanctuary group site at
groups.yahoo.com. I created a folder called RPG_Web_Outline. Inside
that folder you'll see three files, presently, created by me,
artexercise (JOE--) that you can download.

These files are: default.html, RPGj.js, and volcano1.jpg. Download
these three files into an empty directory on a disk, or harddrive and
look at the default.html. You'll see something that looks like this
site:

I apologize in advance for all spelling errors. If you open up
default.html in NotePad (probably the easiest tool to use here),
you'll see that it's a fairly compact bit of HTML. The one item
you'll want to change definately is the Title found between the Title
tags at the top of the file. And the second item you'll want to note
is between the comment marks I've made towards the end of the file.

Between the comment marks is all you, and whatever HTML you know.

Now in the RPGj.js (which you should also open up in Note Pad) you'll
notice I've tried to make many coherent commetns to help you through
editing this file. Right at the top of the file are three variables
that you can change. They are the Title, the image you use under the
title and the color scheme. There are currently 5 color schemes (the
fifth is setting MyStyle = "".

If you go down the file you'll find the Game Description and the
Links. The Game description has a special note, emphasized words are
simply followed by .*

I'll field questions on this design for those who are interested and
stuck. I may come up with other design in the future but this was a
simple design and I think it may help some people get a web site out
there for their RPG that looks decent and is quick to do.

Good Luck. Game on.
