Endure & Survive takes place in the world of The Last of Us. Set five years before the events of the first video game and the HBO show, our game follows a settlement of survivors living on Martha's Vineyard, MA. While we've stuck close to canon, a few liberties have been taken to blend elements of the show/games with our setting. Come join us in fighting off the infected, building our community, and doing our best to avoid drawing FEDRA's attention.?
This is a 21+ game and we're looking for some experienced writers to tell the story of the Oak Bluffs settlement. We're a writing based, play-by-post RP game that utilizes Groups.io for the writing portion of the game and Discord for all OOC communication. We also write in third person past tense.?
A play-by-post game is basically turn-based collaborative storytelling - similar to improv - with a strong focus on collaboration. We're looking for players who are eager to work with others to dig into interpersonal plots, as well as the overarching group plots.?
We do have some things that we look for in potential members, aside from simply a willingness to collaborate and work together.?

This is an adult game that deals with adult themes and no players under 21 will be allowed.?

We are an LGBTQ+ friendly, anti-sexist, anti-bigot game, without reservation. Characters may have personal opinions contrary to this in game, but we do not accept bigotry among our players.

Being a part of the game is a commitment to regular activity and we expect at least one post a week for every active character. With communication, exceptions can be made when needed.?

There is a two character per player limit in this game. We expect players of multiple characters to be able to dig into, and keep up with, each of their characters equally.

Your character must be a resident of the Oak Bluffs settlement on Martha's Vineyard. How long they've been there and what happened to them prior to arriving is up to you. We do not currently have openings for FEDRA or other factions at this time.?

Players with game or show knowledge are preferred, but this is not a hard rule as long as you're willing to learn the lore.

No copycat characters are allowed. You may borrow inspiration from existing characters out in the world or in other media, but at the end of the day, your character must be uniquely yours. This goes for other player characters in-game as well - please read each bio thoroughly before submitting your character to make sure they're not too similar to an existing character.?

We'll need you to use Discord. This is where we do all of our plotting, chatting, most of our notifications or announcements, etc. If you are unfamiliar with Discord, we can help you get started.?
As stated above though, the most important thing that we look for is a willingness to work with others. Collaboration is what keeps a PBEM game fun and running smoothly.?
