They say in Crossroads anything can be bought or sold, they are not wrong.??
Situated at the only deep-water port for hundreds of miles and at the intersection of two major caravan routes the city of Crossroads is arguably the most valuable trade hub on the continent.? Arguably, because crime and vice dominate the city.? The Council are figureheads.? The Militia, corrupt.? Port Authorities, bought.? All that matters in Crossroads is power.? If you don't have it, do whatever it takes to it get it.? If you do have it, make sure the people you took it from never get it back.
****
Rules loosely based on the very simple "Classical Matrix Game 2002".? No need to be familiar or even ever heard of it.? You will be up and running in under 10 minutes.? Players will take the role of self directed rapscallions and ne'er-do-wells vying for power in the city of Crossroads.
I was asked to run this by another GM I often play with, how can I say no? This is a great game for thinking players who like a rules lite narrative style with significant player control over plot and indirect pvp machinations.
