The Ares is an Excelsior II Class Starship.?
A month ago, most of its senior bridge crew was killed after what surviving crew claim was a Romulan Warbird with weapons far superior to what they¡¯ve ever seen before.? Its cloak was undetectable.? It fired and disabled the Gemini without uncloaking destroying the entire bridge deck and leaving it with only thrusters.? The surviving crew says it uncloaked just long enough to be seen so the survivors saw who attacked, and then left them to hobble back to the Starbase.??
The Ares, having repairs and upgrades rushed, is now in the Romulan Free Zone.? In orbit of Freecloud, the crew has been sent on shoreleave as a cover to Commander Marissa Kelly's true misison to retrieve a VIP.
