I've been working on a new game set in TNG.

But--and this is a big but--I'm planning on running it as a game.

I have played a few Star Trek sims and this would be different. It would be run as an RPG, meaning there would be a GM (me) and the players would post their intended actions and then there would be dice rolls (deciding if the intended action is successful).

It's a bit of a different vibe. I've done it before but it's sometimes a challenge for people who have played a lot of sims. Like, the biggest problem comes when players want to take control of NPC's or even create NPC's. That doesn't work for the way I run the games. You can control only your own character and you can't control the outcome of your actions--you can only state your intent or your character's reaction to an event.

Also, your characters have to be statted out and everyone has the same number of points to spend.

I wasn't meaning to start this game until September but if we can get it going sooner I'm up for it. :)

So Rayek tr'Lhoell could be a part of it.

The vibe of the game would be another alternate timeline. I love Star Trek but I don't know all of the details. So the alternate universe would be the GM's idea of what the history and lore is.?
