WinterSun Lair, in the world of Lentheas, was created as a breeding
facility where several dozens of dragons have been gathered in hope
of that they will breed more often and thus provide the races of
elves and humans with more dragons to defend them against their
enemies. And so far the project seems to go well, after going aloft
in a Mating Flight at the day the Lair was opened, the red dragon
Sioned produced a clutch of 15 eggs.
Now, months later, those eggs are ready to hatch at any moment now
and by some it is even believed that the hatching will begin shortly,
while a wild storm rages outside.. Certainly there are corridors
within the Lair which leads to the Egg Caves from the candidate
quarters, but with the sound of thunder and the gusts of wind echoing
thought the Lair, it`s hardly a night when anyone would want to stand
within a huge cave. That is, if the time when the eggs will hacth
have truly came..
A more important question, however, is wether or not the candidates
will find the courage to face a number of newly hatched, hungry and
quite ferocious dragonlings, who might choose to make a target out of
anyone who`s unfortunate enough to get in their way.
Another of our storylines that might be worth mentioning, is that the
candidates of the Lair might be about to face their most challenging
lesson so far. For without their knowledge, the Senior Trainer is
planning to leave them out in the wilds, giving them no choice but to
find their way back to the Lair on their own. Equiped only with basic
gear, like knives, ropes and blankets, the candidates will have to
trek across terrain that have not yet been explored to find their way
back home.
Will all of them be able to make it without failing and having to
disgrace themselves by begging for help from those who might keep an
eye at them?
Currently the level of activity in this freeform PbEM, set in a world
that`s very remotely inspired by Anne McCaffrey`s Pern, have picked
up noticeably and things are just starting to become interesting. And
due to that, we are currently welcoming new players.
Although candidates for the dragon clutch may be most needed right
now, riders of all ranks as well as crafters and workers are
available, perhaps we`ll even find room for a full sorcerer or two.
In addition to that, the Lair will also be in need of a character or
two with experience in fighting and weapons training to help teach
the candidates, dragonees and junior riders.
However, please don`t join this game unless you intend to be a active
player, we currently have more than enough lurkers as it is. Feedback
is also welcome as long as it`s constructive.
