Subject: [R90SWORLDNET] Battery options R90S

Hi All, I’ve replaced a few batteries on my R100RS (Mono) but never on my (semi new to me) 75 R90S. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good sealed brand to choose for the R90? Same size of course to fit in the tray.

I’ve had decent experience with Odyssey and Westco.

Thanks!
Chris Perry

Thanks Todd (and thanks Kirk, Steve & Rob for the Motobatt/Panasonic suggestions).

Looks like the replacement battery for the P620 is now the P680. ?I’ll do some research and report back on which one I get.

Thanks all!

Best,?
Chris?

Locked Re: R90s bars

Josh my R bike, which I have nicknamed the mongrel, has a 77 R100 frame the previous owner sourced from San Hose BMW. Must have been one of their race frames because it is reinforced around the steering neck as well as several other places. It also has a underbraced swing arm and two side braces. The motor has 1977 R100 cases, R90s cylinders and all the painted parts are R90s Daytona orange. Suspension has been updated and the motor and trans were rebuilt at San Hose BMW less than 3000 miles before I bought it. The carbs were CV.s which I am replacing with the original R90s Delortos.?

Locked Re: R90s bars

Thanks Josh, I found the Flanders bars last night on the net and ordered a set.

Locked Re: R90s bars

The guys at RePsycle will sell you a set of Flanders bars that will this. Otherwise look for a set of R100CS bars. That bike was from the early 80’s, had the S fairing and master cylinder on the handlebars.?

I have that set up on my ‘77 and it’s great.?

-josh withers

Locked R90s bars

My bike came with a different bar than the R90S. The previous owner had installed a handlebar mounted master cylinder on a set of R100 bars on it from the early 1980's which were higher because of back problems. I am trying to find a R90s type bar that will work with the existing master cylinder mounted on the bars and not interfere with the R90s fairing. I know this is not original but anybody got a idea what might fit without interfering with the stock R90s 1/4 fairing?

Locked Re: Fairing installation, turn signal stalk bits

开云体育

Correct…longer stalks for the R90S.? Installation is not a problem as long as you use the proper technique.

Todd

?

?

?

Are you sure about that? I just replaced a bent stalk on my '74 and needed the longer one for the "S" bike to accommodate the fairing.
