I replaced the brake and clutch switches on my ¡®74 when I restored it about 10 years ago and it recently stopped working. It started working intermittently after removing it and playing with it for awhile. I?bought a new one because I thought the old one might not be reliable now.
This seems like a short life. Is there anything I can do to extend the life on the new switch or revive the old one. I was thinking maybe squirting some DeoxIT Shield down the plunger or something like that. These are quite expensive now, $60 compared to $22 10 years ago.
