Locked Re: Bad Stumble below 3000 RPM after Brief Stop

I confirmed the bike does have the 400W upgrade, which was done in 2006 with the DYNA III.

I pulled the float bowls last night and both were clean. Checked the float action and confirmed the needle was moving up and down as it should. The nut that holds the float bowl had aluminum washers - identical to ones on the drain plugs. The one on the RH side was leaking, so I replaced both with the fiber ones that I had in the rebuild kit and that seemed to fix the leak.

Pulled the bike out and it fired right up and ran smooth at idle. I don't think pulling the float bowls fixed anything as it ran fine to Chevron station, then stumbled after the fill-up. I'm hoping to take it for a spin tonight after work and see if I can recreate the issue.

Frank, I'm assuming if I check the resistance in the HT lead I'd see the issue, if that is the problem. That said, I'll do the night check in my garage and see if I get an arc between the lead and the case, tank or something else. It looks like someone has put a piece of fuel line over the HT lead where it passes by the fuel tank and case as an attempt to solve this issue (see attached).

Thanks for the help,
Scott??
