Locked Re: Wrenchin' season

Rick Griffith

Ahh, don't feel bad Troy. Winter is a time of reflection. A chance to
recharge the batteries, so to speak. 3 months to play in the garage, without
intrusion from the wife. (its always too cold for them!) My annual rite of
spring is the first "fire-up" of my S. Lets me know warm weather is around
the corner. Sort of like when Ernie Harwell (Detroit Tigers radio
broadcaster) reads his poem (the Turtle) on the first day of Spring
training. Its tradition. Fire up the S and wait for the oncoming sunny days.
Actually, I wait until the end of November before winterizing mine as there
might be a break here and there to go riding.

Well, bros - my "S" went into winter teardown today. A last ride on a
beautiful fall afternoon , then got all the fluids out of her while she
was
hot. Gonna do the whole enchilada - rings, heads, timing chain, rear main
seal, steering head bearings, forks. All those mysteries soon to be
revealed.

Stand by for a lotta dumb questions from me during the next few months.

Troy
