OW Desktop - Editing filters issue 4
With the latest update I am finding that when I go in to edit my filters an error keeps popping up ¡°Specify a valid asteroid size¡± and will not allow any of my setting to enter in. All that I can do is cancel out and let the current default settings be. Anyone else experiencing this?

OccultWatcher 5.1 & OWC - Update 3 6
Hi all, Some people a reporting an issue where OW Desktop would not show all submitted stations for an event. To be able to investigate this problem further I realsed a new version of OW that has some extra logging. If you encounter this problem please obtain a DebugView log (https://www.occultwatcher.net/Troubleshoot/Generic.html) when you click on the event to get the number of stations. Then send me an email with a screeshow showing the issue and the obtained DebugView log. I also released a few minor fixes / improvements in this version. Hristo. Minor issue in OWM 5
One of my events is an upcoming occ by Deimos (moon of Mars). The asteroid number (moons don't have one) is shown as (-2147483648). It probably should not have an asteroid number shown at all. VS

Sorting Site List 6
I have around 100 entries in my site list in OW. I would like to have the list sorted when I open it to assign a site to an event. Also, sort the list that is used to select an site to edit. These would be a good user friendly features. Vince S

Error with Stations number in OW v.5.1.0.2 2
Is anyone but me seeing this? For some events, the number of stations appears to be incorrect. Specifically, I¡¯m signed up for (653) Berenike on 24 November and (83) Beatrix on 08 December, and both are showing zero observers in My Events, despite there being four and one, respectively, in the text and graphical depiction of the observers relative to the shadow path at the bottom of the window. As far as I can tell, the only thing these two events have in common is that they are both from the IOTA feed, but I¡¯m signed up for other IOTA events whose station numbers appear correct. Needless to say, this is a very minor issue, but I¡¯m concerned that it could be a symptom of something more significant. I tried purging the database and synchronizing, but not only did it not fix the problem, but I also still can¡¯t see any old events. GoogleMaps - End of life reached for OW Desktop
Hi All, As anticipated and announced by Google more than a year ago the support for GoogleMaps for Windows Forms (.NET 4) applications has now ended. As a result GoogleMaps will not longer work in Occult Watcher Desktop. I will try to release very soon an update to OW Desktop that will redirect all station announcement on OWC. There is currently one known issue on OWC where your own stations will be shown with a random offset of 1km, so will be all other stations. I will try to fix this soon for own stations and show them with the exact submitted location. The will be more work required but most of it is quality of life improvements. All essential and important functionality should be working. One other important update is that IOTA Occultations events will be also coming from OWC. Steve, because of this it is important that going forward you keep the IOTA tagged events on OWC up to date. Hristo. Chris, I dont see a FEED for it. As a suggestion, is it activated with Observation Campaigns (global)? There are two Across targets in my list, both Didymos. Just a thought.. Tim Oxfordshire, UK

Rank selection in Configuration doesn't work as expected 3
If I set the "rank" value in the configuration "event filters" setting to 80 or 85 and save it (OK button), it switches to 75 the next time I open the configuration screen. Also, the refresh of the events appears to limit events to 75 as well. I'm using the Beta-2 version. Vince

[OWCloud] OccultWatcher 5.1 Beta Testing
Hi Steve, My bad, I intended the discussion to happen on the OWC group, not the OccultWatcher group. I think I understand your request to be able to save and apply saved filters. I'll definitely have to change the way users subscribe to feeds, which will also mean the way events are filtered locally. I can see what I do. In the mean time I am using this ticket on GitHub to capture the new ideas for how feed subscription might work: https://github.com/IOTA-Code/OW-Issues/issues/27 Let me know if you have any feedback on that. Hristo.

Windows 11 ? solved 2
Finally figured it out for anyone in the future that may have problems. For what ever reason the registry permissions got set to "not allow" some or most keys from being created for occultwatcher. Once I cleared the permissions/enabled them in the registry, I re-ran the owupdate.exe to install occultwatcher. Fixed. wow what drain on the brain.

Request for feature... 3
I would like to see the Configuration/Event filters dialog modified to include "Duration" as a filter option. This would be useful for selecting events that require integration. Combined with the magnitude field, it makes it easier to determine if an event is observable. VinceS

Two windows 10 machines functioning differently 6
I have a Win10 laptop in the study, and a Win10 NUC in the observatory outside. On the study laptop I cannot see the upcoming event for Pien on 22 May in OW: However on the observatory NUC machine, I can see this event for Pien in OW. In fact I signed up for it, as you can see below. I have tried purging the database on the study laptop, and even re-installing OW. Nothing I've done so far will let me see this Pien event on this machine. Any suggestions welcome! Ted
