Re: New user question about the "colored lines" on Event Prediction screen
Hi Steven,
Are you running Windows and are you using the OccultWatcher Desktop client?
The red line is the 1-sigma zone, blue is the edge. Your position is more than 3 sigma away and the chances are not great for that location.
If you get the events inside OW Desktop, it will show you probablities and a lot more information.
Hristo.

SODIS + OccultWatcher + SharpCap = new scripts for occultation events
Hello,
Here a short preview of the future OccultWatcher Addin and the SharpCap script. I'm still programming the "capture" part, but you can see in the PDF the actual status of my codes.
Please send me your comments and ideas (if it is not too complicated to add, I will add it if it simplify the preparation and the capture of the occultation events). One "new" idea I have is to add a "voice" in my script. I found how to do.
Part OccultWatcher Addin: The Addin is finished ... but it needs an small update of OccultWatcher. I received a beta version from Hristo. It will be necessary to wait until this new version of OccultWatcher is released.
Part SharpCap scripts: First I write the codes of the script for the future version 4.1 (some changes in ASCOM). The beta 4.1 version is working properly, but it is still not an official released version. In addition, I updated my LED_Calibration script that can be started in the new "Occultation" script.
Regards, Jean-Francois

Does anyone know if CdC can generate pre-point lines like Guide?

Oliver, the plugin works on my system:?? W7,?? CdC v4.2.1 (64bit),??? OW 5.0.1.3
I had to set the chart to show J2000 and not apparent to get the star centered (as explained on the web page).

Re: OW Desktop - Editing filters issue
I'm guessing the number is expected to be an integer but no validation is made to show to the user they have not entered an integer number. So when Ow tried to read 2.0 as an integer an error occurs.
This is unliekly to be fixed soon, just use whole numbers.
Hristo.

Re: OW Desktop - Editing filters issue
Hi Bryan,
What value are you putting to the asteroid size? Does it have a decimal separator?
If you can obtain a DebugView log of the error: and send it to me I look into it further.

Re: OccultWatcher 5.1 & OWC - Update 3
Hi Bj?rn,
I don't think that reinstall of OW will make any difference.
This problem will be hard to troubleshoot further. Condiering that this is currently an isolated case i.e. noone else has this issue I would suggest that you try searching for the error you are getting in Google and see if you may find anything useful.
I may be wrong about TLS 1.2 but the type of error you are getting used to be caused by this issue. If you are running Windows 10 with latest updates this would not be a problem. Try updating .NET Framework to the latest version manually and see if this helps.
Hristo.

Hi All,
After the update to 5.1
an issue was discovered that was
present previsously but was not
reported before. The issue is that
after a database purge (which happened
automatically with the 5.1 update),
the following feeds would not get any
events that were last updated more
than 1 month ago:
Observation
Campaigns (Global)
Community Tags
(Global)

Observations (Global)
I have
already fixed the issue on the
server and released a new version
of OW Desktop 5.1.0.2
Please update
and run a Synchronisation as the 3
feeds above will be purged after
the update.
If you spot
any further issues please report them
either with me directly or to
the

Hi All,
The
yesterday's release has
instroduced one bug which
was reported a few times -
this is the inabbility to
get old events in OW
Desktop after the update.
This presents a problem
for people trying to
report their observations.
I have now
made it possible to report
observations via OWC. For
passed event click on the
telescoep icon and choose
'Report observation' then
fill in the form below and
submit.
As old events
will not be displayed in
OW Desktop for people to
report their observations
you will need to find the
event manually on OWC.
If you spot
any blocking issues please

Hi
All,
I
have now
released OW
Desktop v5.1.
In order to be
able to use
GoogleMaps you
need to
upgrade. The
old maps will
not longer
work and will
not be
supported.
All
feeds will now
fetch from OWC
and support
for old style
feeds will
also be
discontinued.
This is a big
step towards
OWC and full
web version of
managing your
stations.
The
event lines on
OWC are not as
good as they
were in OW,
but they are
still
accurate.
Please bare
with me while
I work on
improving
this.
Regards,
Hristo.
P.S.
I have
also fixed the
issue with the
display of own
submitted
stations on
OWC's
GoogleMaps.

Sorry Vince,
Didn't realise you were talking about OW Mobile.
This is unlikely to be fixed soon but thanks for reporting the issue. I have raised a ticket here:
