Try a manual update by:

- Stopping OccultWatcher

- Right click OWUpdate.exe and choose 'Run as administrator'

Let me know if this works.

P.S. There is also a possibility for an update problem if your version of OW is quite old, but I didn't get the impression that this was the case.

I updated and then OW would not launch. I attempted to fix the missing files (as per my previous message) but this time the update exe? opened (as admin), attemped to complete, but failed.? The update file is then deleted somehow. The Log file shows that the folder is protected some how:

I have taken a copy of the folder from a backup disk, and this works OK,? It says there is an update, I wont do this just yet,

I tried update with AV live scan OFF, and Firewall OFF. but still unable for update to do its job.
Is there a fix?
