The observatory I use at my school, has everything automated except the dome. I plan to acquire the target ahead of time, then pre-point the dome to the correct azimuth.?
I will then go mobile with a portable set up. The observatory will acquire data on its own while I acquire a second mobile cord.
Also, If the shadow path direction is appropriate, I can use a second observatory several miles away.
