M20 on a UC18 + LeNhance filter + DS10cTEC camera

All,

Just 200 seconds for this Trifid Nebula image capture (10 stacks of 20 second exposures).

You are right, short exposures in alt az can give superb results as your image. Some astrophotographs are even going to lucky imaging below 1s to produce high resolution galaxy images to get rid of turbulences with the same technique as planetary imaging. The only limitation is that you can hardly image high in the sky where field rotation is strong.
Beautiful image indeed, Fr¨¦d¨¦ric?

Thanks Fr¨¦d¨¦ric!

With M20 being so bright, EAA was as much fun as capturing the image.

Really did not need to do any lucky imaging on such a bright object.

The Mallincam camera software can help out with de-rotation as it aligns frames while live stacking.
