Ebony Star replacement

I know that Ebony Star has been discontinued for production and is NO LONGER available.? Has anyone heard of an adequate replacement for the Ebony Star lminate? ? ? v/r ? ?? Gone... ?

It dawned on me that I recently converted my 18UC telescope (optics, DSS and Servocat) to a Quantum telescope by AstroSystems in 2022.? AstroSystems uses a material called Luna Night on their bearings.? It works just as well as Ebony Star, maybe a tiny bit more "sticky" than the Ebony Star, however I love it on my 18".? I am sending my bearing dimensions to AstroSystems and they are going to cut me two bearings and ship them right out for a reasonable price.? So if anyone else wants to give them a try go visit AstroSystems at and send an email to info@... I am so happy I don't have to buy an entire sheet of laminate I could shout!
