UP 3669's caboose passes UP 3782. UP 3782 east was holding in the Sloat, California siding for UP 3669 west.
For some years a group of us camped out at Sloat, between Keddie and Portola in the Feather River Canyon, watching trains, drinking beer, swimming in the river and generally having a good time. We called these campouts the Fry Yer Ass trips, because it was hot in the summer. We even had a logo of a donkey, Donkey Hodie, in a frying pan, and used on t-shirts
