Thanks Chuck. I think I've photographed the CZ in all of its states...some of them might be out the vestibule shots, or on the platform shots.

      Re: Snowy Saturday

      Thank you!??

Chuck, your snow shot is pure winter drama.? I can feel the snow hitting my face as the train flies by, kicking up the drifts.

The access at Truckee remains good, although, where UP parks the snow equipment has moved a couple hundred yards east of where I shot these photos as the old lumber? mill site is being redeveloped and UP has built a new facility.? ? ?We have lost some access to places as new fences have been built in several places in the last couple of years.? I guess fans will have to start cutting camera holes in UP's fences.? :-)??

The mountain remains accessible as it make no sense to build fences in the middle of nowhere.

      Cheers,

      Mike Tisdale

      Howdy Mike,

I usually enjoy your posts but during this hot stove exchange really burned me up !

I am in the DFW area and when I was working I had spots all over the Metroplex where I could eat lunch in the car and take photos or just watch some trains. Tower 55, Broadway, Older North yard, old North yard, Alliance, Centennial, CRI&P and Frisco remains etc etc DUT, Zacha? and Sante Fe ef and Katy. Access wasn't an issue as long as you behaved. Weekend canopies would go up at T55 and wonderful reports would be posted on our local group.
No more access and lots have disappeared.

I remain jealous of the access you seem to have but Mike shouldn't you have your own light set and maybe a ladder for the snow equipment shots? Really??

      Keep up the good work.
