Description: This is a exercise hosted by Fire Chief Cosgrave.? It involves all the neighborhoods from Montara to Canada Cove.? A ham radio net will be held to test the Coastside comms.? During the test, a simulated earthquake will occur.? All ham stations will meet at the designated rally point and report back to their respective neighborhoods.?
This is where WE come in.? We will establish OCEAN comms as soon as I get back.? Please tune-in on your radio to our assigned FRS frequency (Channel 9) at 10:00AM and wait for instructions.?
If we are to have an event when all of us can see the full potential of OCEAN, this is it!? Your participation is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.?
You know the drill.? So, let's get this done!? If you don't, join anyway!? That will make this exercise even more realistic.??
Additional information will be provided here at the OCEAN groups.io as they come.? We will be conducting our own event assessment during the next 15 minutes right after the exercise and during our next OCEAN meeting.
