If you will be mobile that day, you will need your mask when you go out.? The goggles and gloves stay at home.? I want everyone to take the time to prepare their stuff as if this was a real emergency BUT you don't have to bring your gear with you.? If you're just staying home, you might need binoculars to visually check your neighbors' houses.? Operate in your comfort zone.? You will need your radio to establish and maintain contact with everyone during the drill.

Hi Everyone,
Good news!? External communications support and permissions for our drill have been secured.? So, we are good to go.? At this point, we have 13 volunteers in OC.? I will need to know now if anybody is NOT available to participate in our drill scheduled for February 6 at 10:00AM for one hour (FEB6 Drill).? I need everyone to respond to this email if you are IN along with resources you will have at your disposal (bicycle, binoculars, bandages, etc.).? That way, I can designate roles with the resources we have.? Now is the time to act and we need you.? For those who have done this before, it should be a cake walk for you and we might need you to mentor/lead new volunteers.? If this is your first time and you are nervous/anxious/confused/lost/nowhere near ready, let me know.? Let your neighbors know; some might want to join.
FYI, COVID-19 safety protocols will be in effect.? If you plan to be mobile for the drill, you will need to wear eye protection, mask, and gloves.? If you are CERT-certified, practice prepping your gear.? All must make sure your walkie-talkie radios (WTs) are fully charged and properly configured.? I suggest that we all participate in the weekly Net on the 1/20, 1/27, and 2/3.
