Hey everyone.

Field Day is only a wek and a half away! I guess we so darn organized
that there's nothing to talk about...I'd like some input on WHO wants
to OPERATE WHERE? Please take a minute to download the Field Day.xls
file in the files section and PUT YOUR CALL SOMEWHERE in op1, op2 or
op3 on one or more of the stations. Just click on the file if you
have XLS installed on your machine, otherwise just send to the group
your plans. Also it would be helpful to know who's Laptop computers
we will be using. I have five from Eric, that means we need 6 more
for 11 stations. Robin are you self contained with laptop for the
satellite station? Dave R are you self contained with the UHF/VHF
station?

Thanks,

Jim MBP

Jimbo, I have a laptop.

Question, do the 12-volt radios need a 12-volt supply or is there a master
plan?

Well, I clicked and brought up the spreadsheet, but I don't know how to send my changes back.

Looks like you might put me down for the 10/15/80 CW station, since it currently has no ops. We can use the K2/100 here if you like. It would be nice to have a backup op or two, or at least someone to cart some caffeinated drinks my way....

I can also do third op on the 20 or 40 CW station, or fill in on phone somewhere.

Also it would be helpful to know who's Laptop computers
we will be using.
I have a Win98 laptop that I'm bringing and we can use. It's got a 10BaseT PC Card -- a little cantankerous, but I can usually get it to work.

Bill, Thanks for the input!! All your input is indeed nice to
have. All is noted. The 80 m antennas are probably best 50' so we
are not so directive. I think we will be good to get these up
during the day so thy are not touching the ground as in past FD's!!
So directionality should not be a real issue, esp. noted since they
are broadside East West nearly.

Thanks.

Far as I know, there is no master plan for 12V power. Hopefully, the station captains for the 12V rigs have a power supply identified. If not, scream loud!! And soon!

We'll put the K2 to work! If 15 and 80 are open at the same time, we
can add a fourth CW station too (operators permitting). We'll have the
IC-775, a TS-850, the K2, and then either the 570 or another K2 (from
W0AG if he can make it).

Hey everyone.

Field Day is only a wek and a half away! I guess we so darn
organized
that there's nothing to talk about...I'd like some input on WHO
wants
to OPERATE WHERE? Please take a minute to download the Field
Day.xls
file in the files section and PUT YOUR CALL SOMEWHERE in op1, op2
or
op3 on one or more of the stations. Just click on the file if you
have XLS installed on your machine, otherwise just send to the
group
your plans. Also it would be helpful to know who's Laptop
computers
we will be using. I have five from Eric, that means we need 6 more
for 11 stations. Robin are you self contained with laptop for the
satellite station? Dave R are you self contained with the UHF/VHF
station?

Thanks,

Jim MBP

Hi Bill,
?
I'd love to try the K2/100 for 10/15/80 CW.? As a matter of fact if you can commit to that, I won't pick up my radio from the shop, and we'll use the K2!.? I was going to pick that up today.?Let's make that the plan.? I'll find the cw keying circuit via parallel port.? If you can get version 118 running, then we won't need to do much Friday night.

You got it. K2/100 will be there.

I'll try to get N1MM going on my Win98 laptop and get the circuits matched up for keying.

Looking forward to using the HOT K2...

You got it. K2/100 will be there.

I'll try to get N1MM going on my Win98 laptop and get the circuits
matched up for keying.

Hi Bill,

I'd love to try the K2/100 for 10/15/80 CW. As a matter of fact if
you can commit to that, I won't pick up my radio from the shop, and
we'll use the K2!. I was going to pick that up today. Let's make
that the plan. I'll find the cw keying circuit via parallel port.
If you can get version 118 running, then we won't need to do much
Friday night.

Might I suggest the K2/100?

Didn't the FT-102 have a chirp problem on CW?
