I¡¯m trying to install VARA FM and VARA HF, but during the install some Windows file it tries to download ¡°isn¡¯t available¡± wherever it tries to get it from.? (Typical crap I see whenever I try something new with a computer ?) ? Eric is using yet another software modem thing.? I may give it a try, but it¡¯s not looking like I¡¯ll have it sorted out by FD.? ? Dave UW ?

The question is, can we go directly to your sound card and bypass the TNC?? If your Packet TNC is all software (like mine is), will be no problem. My station consists of VaraFM software, or Packet software, decoded by an outboard sound card connected to and from my 2 M FM rig.? On HF, it is VaraHF software working through the built-in sound card on my K3. There is other functional HF software, however this too is seldom used.?
