Gents,
Still on for the effort to raise the steppir on Saturday afternoon at 3:30.? Looks like the weather will cooperate.? With AE4TQ, WA2MBP, AJ2Y, and WK4U we have critical mass, but could sure use at least one more person if anyone is available.?
?
Should only take an hour or so.? Afterwards you¡¯re free to work on emptying out the beer fridge in the garage.? Trust me, that would take a while.? Especially if Eddie brings a keg of Scottish ale.? ?
Thanks Gents.? Looks like Saturday is best for most.? How about 3:00pm Saturday?? Hopefully that will work for everybody.? ?
?
With Jim da Nail, Tim Bob, Joe, Eddie, and me we have critical mass.? Would help to have one more to give us a dedicated spotter, if anyone else can make it.
?
I¡¯ll have as much done as I can before you get here (antenna and rotor mounted to mast, cables taped to the mast above and below the rotor, guys attached to the mast, etc.? We¡¯ll just need to put the antenna/rotor/mast top piece onto two mast sections (in the launcher), stand it up, slide it sideways about 8-10 feet, then crank it up.? When we get it stood up in place, I¡¯ll check the cable once more from the ham shack to make sure there are no shorts (5 minute check), then up we go.
Can any of you help me to put the steppir back up next weekend?? I need four folks minimum, preferably five. Should take an hour or so.? Maybe we could get lunch before or after.?
?
I¡¯d like to shoot for Saturday, but Sunday would also work for me.? Long range forecast looks good (sunny, but a bit chilly) both days.
