Re: WSJT-x Log File

FWIW, I don't rely on that color-coding.? I have never tried to import my log into wsjt-x.

What I do instead is feed decodes data from WSJT-X into JT-Alert, which then feeds into SpotCollector.? Spot Collector has my full DX Lab log, so that notifies me of new DX.

Gents,

My WSJT-X log file is not complete, for a couple of reasons.?

  • Early on, when I first got started with WSJT I was clearing out the log file as I exported the qsos via ADIF to my Logic logging software. I didn¡¯t recognize the need to leave them in the log, since I had not yet figured out how the color coding could help me (this was 2017, maybe early 2018).
  • Once I got two instances of WSJT-X running at the same time, new contacts are being placed in separate log files for the TS-990s and the TS-890S.?

?

So, to get the color coding accurate, I was thinking I could export all of the FT8, FT4, and JT65 contacts from my Logic? log into an ADIF file (done¡ªno problems doing that).? Now if I could just import that ADIF file into WSJT-X as the log file (with a separate copy in the file directory for each radio).? Then, at least for a while, the color coding for new DXCC, zones, and grids would be reasonably accurate.? If I could figure out how to do this I could easily do it once a month or so.?

?

But . . . there does not seem to be any way to import a log into WSJT-x.? Yes, I¡¯ve looked in the User Guide, and I don¡¯t see anything there.?
