Jeff -
Is it circularly polarized...or a long-boom 440 Yagi?
FYI: Here's the kind of SAT antenna array I believe Robin, AA4RC is trying
to duplicate (would like to have) for FD:

My understanding is Robin's SAT array consists of:
- VHF: M2 circularly polarized 2M long-boom Yagi
- UHF: M2 curcularly polarized 440 long-boom Yagi
- 2.4 GHz: BBQ dish + very low noise 2.4 GHz downconverter (TranSystem,
Inc.)
- rotor: Yaesu G-5500 Az/El with fiberglass boom
- rotor interface: SASI tracker
- tracking program: NOVA for Window/SASI tracker
- low-loss feedline
- Military surplus "crank up" and rotatable mast
- Rig: Kenwood TS-200X
(Robin, did I get it all right?)
BTW: Here is a picture of Robin, AA4RC "working the birds":
