MT63
Hi everyone,
I have given a try at soundcard digitalmodes. I have added MT63 to the Java version of Ham Radio Integrator. I have MARS in mind - that's why I chose to start with MT63. First I got an early version of the MT63 code from github written for Android devices. Next I looked at FLDIGI where a few changes had been made. I can't say that I understood the complicated complex mathematics, but it is a way to start learning about it. I consider this Alpha code. If anyone is interested in trying it, let me know. Regards, Howard |
Re: M710 data strings for remote
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJacob,
There is a document in a M710 yahoo group which has a document showing all the commands for the Icom marine radios. Unfortunately each command has a checksum which must be calculated, and you'd need to give hamlib every command several times depending on the radio's address. Howard On 3/30/2017 16:18, Jacob wrote:

Re: rig control
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJacob,
For the M710A all radio commands start with "$PICOA" and end with a two digit checksum. It is all plain printable ASCII characters - no binary. Howard On 3/25/2017 16:56, Jacob wrote:

Re: rig control
i will try to get it from barrett and drop it in you mail box might take some time thoug? when i have it i will contact you again. on the M710 the prog just runs fine. concerning the mode switching. i take it you send a 3 charcter string towards the icom 710 ? for AFSK, what do you send AFS ? that seems to work overhere after i programed it into the m710? |
Re: rig control
Just email the information to me.

Re: rig control
To use HRI with ham radio deluxe (HRD) Logbook or DM780, you should never run the main HRD program.

HRI takes the place of Head's main program. HRI shares information with Logbook and DM780. Just run HRI, turn on IP server, and run Logbook or DM780. good day howerd. there is a hamlib database representing the barrett. it is also supported in winlink the barrett is by the way an australian tranceiver that is frequently used in the australian outback's? my version is comming from the last batch used as globe wireless tranceivers before the plug was pulled when globe wireless was sold to immersat :-) very nice hardware that supports frequency hopping etc.... mil grade? where do you wish me to drop the command listing ? ? |

The answer is no. HRI has all radio controls hard coded. I might consider adding your radio if 1. You can provide details of the protocol for communicating with the radio. I did not find it on the website. 2. You will commit your time to testing many HRI test versions 3. It will only be added to the visual studio version of HRI. Re: Visual Studios HRI test version 17 MAR 2017
Howard, I have tested today's 17 MAR 2017 test version of HRI with USB to Clone port of IC M710 cable with HRI set for no flow control. Radio controls work but as usual the M710 report backs of radio settings are iffy. I have learned to live with the M710 report backs being iffy. I have been meaning to try the remote M710 homebrew cable again to see if the M710 report backs are still solid there but HRI has allowed me to be too busy playing Ham Radio to try it. Setting M710 radio functions via USB to Clone port cable is still rock solid 100% DM780 (named after a computer invented in my home town I think) still works. Fldigi using RigCat works. WSJT-X using HamLib still works. I just made a JT9 contact with RN6AJ [KN93] Sochi Russia using today's test version of HRI with VSPE and WSJT-X. Thanks Howard and Nikolay |

Well Howard. Tomorrow I will be engaged densely in the program. Many thanks for the program. Here so at me the program window looks now.

Visual Studios HRI test version 17 MAR 2017
There is a new test version HRI-TEST.zip in the files section. Version 17 MAR 2017. This allows FLOW CONTROL settings options for all radios that use a regular RS232 COM Port.? (Not available for CI-V controlled radios).? In the past HRI always used No Flow Control. For Icom Marine Radios, I was forcing Flow Control to NONE, RTS always ON, and DTR always ON.? Regardless of whether you checked or didn't check RTS or DTR in the settings, for ICOM Marine Radios. HRI acted like both were checked.? Now ICOM Marine Radio owners can experiment to see what works best for them, but remember that in the past it was always No Flow Control, RTS ON, and DTR ON. It's also possible that some Kenwood Radio models might work better with RTS Flow Control if the radio has a real RS232 CAT control port on the radio. If I do not get complaints, these changes will be in the future regular Visual Studios HRI. Regards, Howard |
Re: New file uploaded to [email protected]
Thank you for the program. So far I use it on SAT. Very conveniently.
