Merry Christmas

... to Paul and Dave and all members of our Group and their families.

It's after 9pm here in eastern Australia; I must hang-up my Christmas stocking, although I probably only deserve to receive a lump of coal.

:)

Kerry VK2TIL.

Re: Paul's website

Thanks for the compliment, Mike, and it's good to hear from you as well.

Some might say that the TAPR VNA started it but I look at it in terms of
HP precision and agree with you ;>)

Regards,
Paul N2PK

Hi Kurt and Kerry,

It's good to hear from you both and see that you are still active experimenters.

These days I mostly use my SVNA for quicker tests but I still have three VNAs
available for use including my very first one!

Stay well,
Paul

Hi Paul
Great to see your mail
I too have your homepage and the yahoo group stored and have gladly distributed it.
Still powering the N2PK VNA up now and then.
Kind regards
Kurt

My heartfelt thanks to you, Dave, for doing this!

It is unfortunate tho that Ivan's (VE3IVM) contribution of his N2PK USB compatible PCBs and their documentation woll no longer be available.

Best wishes,
Paul

Re: Paul's website

G'day, Paul; nice to hear from you as well.

My N2PK VNA is still working flawlessly; I think that there are quite a few others still in use.

Regards, Kerry VK2TIL.

Re: Paul's website

G'day Dave; nice to hear from you.

It's great to have Paul's website preserved; there is a lot of information there. As well as relating directly to the N2PK VNA, much of it is relevant to VNAs in general. The "non-VNA" material is similarly-valuable.

I still use myVNA with my N2PK; my VNWA is a fine instrument but the dynamic range of the N2PK is often useful.

Paul's website

Hi all

If you want access to Paul's web pages on the N2PK VNA & SVNA, an archive is now available on the website of the Warrington Radio club here:

Re: N2PK VNA build instructions.

Thanks for the info everyone.

I'm going to start digging into it as soon as I get my shack and electronics workbench built and setup so I imagine there will be more questions to follow soon. I remember how much fun it
was to build and find all the parts for the unit. If I remember correctly I was building a my first multi band sdr qrp the G11 multi band rig at the same time.

Thanks
Fred, N4FMG

Re: N2PK VNA build instructions.

Hi Frederick
Here is a link for downloading his website which I copied and a QST article attached. The second link is the Yahoo group copy.

Kind regards
Kurt

I built my VNA a while back. Think it is the 5.2 version as it's USB and dual detector. I seem to remember there being build literature for for it when I built it as well for the RF-IV board but I haven't been able to find any of it since the web site is no longer up. I downloaded the files that are available here and went thru what I could find with no luck.
I need to verify some things with my build as there seems to be a lot of noise on both channels plus it's been idle for a long time.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks

G'day Fredrick.

I have quite a lot of material that I collected when I built mine; the attached may be useful.

Re: FS N2PK and Dual Channel N2PK

I have some unfinished boards as well. I had planned to make another analyzer years ago, had planned to change the DDS chip, but developed a tremor that prevents me from soldering fine work and never got to it.

Let me know if you need anything in addition to below and I¡¯ll search my file.

Ok managed to get into the workshop...

I have:

1. dual channel N2PK one all SMT and connectors mounted. I have two external PCB and Mini Circuit mounted transformaers and SMT, Die cast boxes for them and main board.
2. Same again but blank PCB and one external PCB
3.A N2PK USB board
4. An N2PK blank PCB and all components, die cast boxes for them both.

I am in UK but travel to Chicago 20-25 October so could send inside CONUS.

Photos are attached.
