I've seen systems where you don't have to manage overclocking to get the most out of them. I personally don't try to mess with manual overclocking as I don't know ramifications of the changes I could make. My experience with a screwdriver in one hand and a carburetor in the other has taught me to never let the two meet. If it can be screwed up, I will find a way immediately.
