Re: mach4 license

i have the pcid copied, did that a while ago in case the computer died. problem is that i do not know if i have an account and if the license is registered. i was able to create a new account and then tried to logon to the old one with user and pass i had in my password file. now viasat is giving me the following message and it can be hours before i can try again. does machspoort really have an outdated credential or whatever?

i have the license file and the PCID do i have to logon to an account that has mach4 registered to it because that dos not seem to be possible. i tried another browser and that did not help.

Is there any record of an account for Spencer Chase, spencoid spencer@...? i want to try logging on but get the fucking message below. is there a non secure version of the site?

mach4 is working great but i am trying to plan for the eventual computer failure.

Re: mach4 license

I made some progress and was able to create a new account but then how do I transfer my license? So I tried logging on to the old account for which I found details in my password folder but now am encountering this error again and can not get pat it. Maybe Machsupport does have authenticity issues and maybe i need a different browser? maybe it is not Viasat but all problems seem to be caused by them?

will try a different browser. Going to town tomorrow so can try to find wifi somewhere.

You don't have to actually take the computer to a different site. All you need is the PCID from the target computer. Use MAch4's

Re: Mach3 Plasma

Spenser,

On a single pass, I have cut three-quarter inch MDF at 14 in./min. using about 80% laser power.

I can cut 1/4 inch plywood at 40 inches per minute using 80% power.

Search Amazon for RECI W8 150-180W co2 laser for the tube I used.

There are a lot of less expensive tubes out there but the quality is nowhere near RECI quality.

Have fun,
Chuck

Chuck, in my opinion your post processor is at the core of any work done by CNC. I used the MP1000¨C THC for my post processor initially and then edited it for the laser, scribe, plasma, and the oxy acetylene torch that is on the table. I also made descriptions in my output file and put in cut sequence numbers so I can start stop or correct anywhere in a job. Hello Chuck, I have been using mach3 for many years on my 9' x 23' plasma table and basically what you're trying to do requires that you use a plasma post processor with THC. That is where your THC is going to be initiated in the output G-Code and then ran in the plasma screen set that interact with your THC controller. The other part of the THC is a Plasma Cutter with torch active/ volts or adding this option through the installation of an Amp coil. You need to check with your plasma manufacturer for this option on your model or get one from the manufacturer of your THC controller that you will be using. Hope this helps.

Re: mill wizard license

i have one and am getting a very strong signal. i have no idea why it is so slow and unless i really need it at some point i really don't care.? i have a long range wifi thing at the house but it points to our cabin about a half mile away and is very directional. the signal i am getting is from a range extender at the closest part of the house from the shop. at the shop i have an amplified directional radio.

i hate network stuff, it seems to have so many random components and little accurate documentation. I am on the network getting a V$ Ip address from the router and I can connect via Team viewer but I have "no internet" i turned virtually every service to manual or automatic and still no internet.

If i get internet I am most likely to turn it off anyway but his is just bugging me.

I have an almost identical computer as a backup and it has built in WIFI and will probably work but then I have the problem of switching Mach4 license to it and for some reason I just can't seem to register it. Maybe not being the weekend the shitty satellite will cooperate and not make me try 10 times to get to a secure page.

Any hints on how to quickly register? I got a welcome email with a license file made in response to my computer ID number but can not find that email anymore although I do have the file and know what email address I used but the system does not see me when I try to register with that email address. It is exasperating to do this because what would take 2 minutes on any other internet connection can be 45 minutes of frustration.

Re: mill wizard license

USB is the way I have done it for years. I just wanted to use Mill Wizard. I finally got Team Viewer to work after much much effort. I had disable many services thinking I would never connect the shop computer to the internet. I finally got the two computers connected on the network and it works but slower than going over the internet. For some reason I couild never get the shop computer to connect to the internet which is probably good.

Then I realized that I do not have a license for Mill Wizard. I thought it was included in Mach 4 Industrial. I don't think I would have enough use for it to bother buying it even though it is only $75. Major expenses getting ready for the next fire (new road culverts etc) and had to replace most house appliances after a surge. So I am feeling really broke and cheap.

If I finally get paid some back bills I might buy it to play with. The developers certainly deserve the money.
