Re: Mach 4 accounts
Brian I gathered they were aware of the password issue... Also is there any intention of adding older Mill Wizard management to the site.? It seems I purchased to early and have to go thru support for each computer change..? I haven't made any yet but we all know I will at some point. Re: Debounce
I think I would stay far away from this type of solution. These chips are designed to debounce human activated switches. They will introduce a delay that could be significant; they are another point of failure of your safety switches; and in the end do nothing more than Mach3 is already doing when you set the delay greater than zero.

Re: fixture offsets
Spencer Chase
开云体育i think i figured that out so what i need to do is to store either the current fixture choice and then restore it when i need to or to do it myself using the DRO and saving and entering the offset when the program is at a known starting position. this is what i need some VB script examples for.On 3/1/2015 10:48 AM, Ger

Re: fixture offsets
开云体育You can't turn them on or off. You either need to switch from one offset to another, or set them to zero when you want them to be "off".Gerry On 3/1/2015 1:10 PM, Spencer Chase

Re: fixture offsets

开云体育i can not figure out how to turn fixture offsets on and off. it looks like it is easy to turn tool offsets on and off but i can not provide a Y offset in a tool offset unless there is something i am missing.i am using fixture offsets to get the Y offset i want but need to toggle it on and off when running different gcode programs for faces of a part i am making. i need to have the offset effective when milling one face, turn it off to mill the other face and then turn it back on all automatically. i can't turn fixtures off and then select the one i need each time because i want to be specify an offset as needed and keep this one until i change it. i am about to look more deeply into the VB script possibilities but it would sure save time if someone already figured this out and can provide a script. when each program finishes it does move to a known location so i can probably read the Y DRO and calculate the fixture offset from that, save it and restore the offset from a stored value. since i have very little experience with vbscript i am hoping to find an example or some other way to accomplish what i want. this is the last detail i need to add to my machine so i hope to get it done soon.

Re: Debounce
The debounce should be set at 0, imo, ime.

If you get false triggers, the better solution is to fix the electrical noise thats causing this. Shielded cables ? Grounded at one end only ? Proper switches ? FTP cable is one cheap source. Debounce is a way to mask the problem. Sometimes you cannot eliminate the false triggers, and then debounce is the only practical way. Caps on the switches may help- Also, any old ups, can be used to isolate the noise from a router, plasma, or noise main motors. A small ups is not expensive, but I am not sure if the small ones do good isolation. My ac servos are very noisy, but grounding the shield to the motor frame makes the problem go totally away. Debounce
I ran a short file yesterday about 40 times and the reset was never triggered. Today I run a long file and 12 mins into the file the reset was triggered. I had setup both home and limit switches on the X axis. The Debounce was set to 1000 I have now removed the Limit switch check and am using the switches for homing only. I have also set the Debounce to 500. My question is where should the Debounce be set? And if it needs to be adjusted is it better to go up or down? So far the file has run 25 minutes and no trigger yet. Crossing fingers but so far so good. I know I seen a video on this somewhere but can't remember where. Thanks for any help on the subject. fixture offsets
Spencer Chase
i have solved my need for offsets to account for material thickness changes by creating a bunch of buttons each of which runs a gcode to choose a fixture that has the offsets i might need. 8 buttons covers anything i am likely to need. one button turns off the offsets by choosing G54 P7 which as 0 x y and z offsets.
this all works fine but i want to be able to switch back and forth between gcode programs and to turn off the offset for one program but have it turned on again at the previously set level without having to choose the fixture each time the program is run for which i do want an offset. is there some way to keep a fixture chosen and activate and deactivate it from the gcode? i switch programs with a VB script so i can also activate and deactivate from within the script if this is more doable. -- Best regards, Spencer Chase 67550-Bell Springs Rd. For me, it was?actually very easy to get a new
license.
However...
?
There needs to be a way to delete a license. I
already have used 3, and have not even used Mach4 on a PC with a machine
attached.
License #1 was the original license when I
purchased Mach4.
A change in Mach4 required a new license,
#2.
?
After retiring an 8 year old PC, I then needed
license #3.
?
I have no use at all for license #2 and #3, but
there's no way to delete them from my account.

Mach 4 accounts
Well i have bought nfw, mach4, and darwin..? But when I went to use hem I downloaded the latest versions of 4 and Darwin my licences no longer work. So I wrote support and asked for new licences and was told to go log on and manage my own. however if I ever had a password I can't find it. When I try and reset it it just reloads the screen to reset it. No error or anything but no new password and nothing is emailed to me. if I try to register then ?it tells me the email is already in use. It seems my pc id has changed though the only change Ivan think of is a separate video card. in the past my licences were emailed to m in a ziped file attachment.? I bought long ago and use rarely so these changes slip past me. Is there any tricks that I am missing to get a new password.. Garry ? |
