Hi Oscar:
Well, if you can get it to Jog you have at least the Step pin for that joggin axis correct. See if it will jog both ways. If not, keep changing the DIR pin for that axis till it jogs in both directions.
Then, see if when the DRO for the X axis is counting upwards, the tool is moving to the right (X axis), if not, toggle the "Low Acive" for the DIR pin. When the X is proper move on to the Y.. Tool should be moving away from you when it counts up.. Z shoudl move up when it counts up. Sounds like your almost there..
Thanks,
Art

Subject: [mach1mach2cnc] Digital Tool CNC router set up with BobCAD & Mach3
I have a client whose computer crashed a few months back and I'm now
setting up his new PC & CNC router. He is using BobCAD 20, Mach3 for
the control and he has a Digital Tool CNC router. He has 2 parallel
cards connected to an LPT Indexer. I set up the program ok but I ran
into a snag.
Apparently, the company that made the CNC is no longer in business
and the customer doesn't have the pinout documentation. I tried every
combination of pins and directional pins but I can't get it to work
correctly. I can get the machine to jog, but not anything else. My
other problem is that the 0 origin seems to be backwards. I tried to
run the roadrunner test file but it starts to cut backwards.
I believe the problem might be related to not having the pins right,
but I thought I would ask.
If anyone has any information, I would surely appreciate it. The
customer has been down for about a month. Thank you!
