That ghastly rainbow log in screen

What a monstrosity -- Apple has made it difficult to get rid of -- someone up at Apple must have been drunk or on something when they deided we all might like that ! What an eyesore.
I figured out it only showed up as a log in with multiple users. Threw husband off mine (he never used it anyway ) and i was able to have my a photo I took myself both at log in and desktop.?
I'm obviously not alone as there is a continuous discussion on Apple discussion area -- do you think they take notice up at Apple when we whinge about something like that monstrosity for a log in.

I have tried out various desktop pictures over time. I like to make the occasional swap - on the older Mac if you had a desktop pic sitting there too long it sort of burned it into the screen a bit. Don't know if it would do it on the iMac Pro screen.?
One wouldn't want a rainbow burned in would one ?? ? :-)?

I don¡¯t think that LED screens have the same problem ¨C of burning in, Jude. ?I don¡¯t dislike the garish login screen, I have to admit, and it¡¯s not there for long. ?I have many mono photos which I use for the desktop, changing randomly. ?I prefer mono as it is less likely to cause me to make mistakes of colour adjustment in photos.

I¡¯ve just booked tickets on Easyjet to Faro from Bristol, to see my aged mother for the first time in nearly two years. ?I can¡¯t say that I¡¯m looking forward to the journey, although I gather mask-wearing is enforced on board, which is pretty well the only place in the UK that it is.

I¡¯m beginning to appreciate why people emigrate . . .
