Thanks Jude, yes, it does work fine in the camera and I can view the photos via the display. ?I think I have some other cards somewhere, so will try one.

Something wrong with the card then ? If you¡¯ve tried it in two Macs and card reader that would point to the card surely? Is it operating ok in the camera or can you view the pictures while it¡¯s in the camera? ?Ask a camera shop - take the card with you... or try a different card in the Macs.

?Thanks for the responses!

I have a card reader too, which doesn¡¯t work either; I¡¯ve tried Harvey¡¯s reader but that was the same. It is so odd that both computers are failing me in the same way. Maybe it¡¯s time to book a Genius Bar appointment, although I¡¯m not lugging my 27in iMac with me! ?:D ?As an alternative, maybe Apple has an explanation.

This is like the one I bought and it works a treat. Maybe your internal one has given up the ghost for some reason.
My little card reader is working fine with iMac Pro and Mojave.

Software for my old Canon Digital Rebel fell behind and became unusable. Usual thing they stop updating.
I bought a USB card reader which takes multiple sizes incl phone SIM card - I just plug that into USB port of my iMac Pro. Think it cost me$25 AUS. Works a treat.

?I used to have no difficulty transferring my photos to either my MacBook Pro or my iMac; I usually slotted my SD card into them, adding my new pix to their respective Photos installation, and also to our network drive for automatic backup further on. ?Recently, though (new OS?) I am having to use PictBridge, hooking my camera up via a cable. ?This is fiddly and slow and I miss the simplicity of the SD card or card reader.

My MBPro is on High Sierra, while my iMac is on Mojave.

Has anyone else had this happen?
