That phishing address is for any suspicious emails at all; they go to an organisation called Action Fraud. You quickly get an acknowledgement email which includes the number of such emails they have had recently and explains that they look at every email they receive but do not reply to them.

Are they purporting to be from gov.uk? or a variety of senders. Maybe you can only report to that particular phishing addy that pertains to gov.uk.
I have taken to going up to my ISP webmail on their server and sorting/eliminating any junk or mail I don¡¯t want before it even gets to my Mac. In doing so I am teaching the mail server a bit extra apart from what it¡¯s already programmed to recognise as junk.
I¡¯ve not struck anything behaving as you describe as yet down here in Oz. Though certainly I have noticed there have been days junk arriving has raised my antennae.

?Hello stranger! :)
I¡¯m sure you¡¯re right about Action Fraud being underfunded but my worry was that these obviously potentially harmful emails got into my Inbox yet could not be sent on out again. If I get any more like that, I may ring Zen directly to find out why this happens. Their customer support is prompt and knowledgeable but I¡¯m not always good at explaining my problems. While setting up my new Mini, I noticed that the setup instructions when we were transferring from BTInternet were dated 1993! I kept it because it had our username and other details - on paper, remember that old material? :D

Hi Susan!
I hear you :-) I¡¯m getting spam/phishing emails, e.g. TV License (sic) expired, but they¡¯re going to my Junk folder automatically. I¡¯m not trying to forward them to anyone.
Given that the Government¡¯s commitment to online security is sketchy at best (Action Fraud weekdays business hours only, for instance), I¡¯d be willing to bet that the phishing department is understaffed and underfunded.
Cheers

Hello (Is there anybody there¡?)
A larger than usual number of suspicious emails has been coming my way recently. Usually, I can forward them to report@... but a number of them have refused to be forwarded; these look as if they are loaded with something potentially harmful. I am in contact with Zen Internet about these but had deleted them already because they ensconced themselves in an Outbox and kept popping up when I was sending email, so could not be ignored. Anything like this happening at your end of the table? What I am wondering is: how did they get through to me if I cannot forward them onwards?!
Best,
Susan
