There is a fan control application for Macs; I have it in my old iMac and it tells you what the temperature is. I got it from Macupdate:?
See what you think.

Believe it or not we are back to single digit mornings (6-8degC) and getting to about 20deg C during the day or thereabouts....but there is wind and it has a cold side to it.?
We have fire built in the hearth ready if we want a night in front of the TV in comfort.?
Otherwise electric blanket getting a work out.?
The pool has had a new filter installed with glass medium in it - never had one of those before - last one had sand in it. This one is smaller but seems to be doing a far more efficient job. So when we get past this cold bit we are ready for swimming weather.?
Come the very hot weather here I often turn the Mac off in the middle of the day - even though Apple probably makes for Aussie conditions I think somewhere I read not to operate it over a certain temp.?
