Dear All,
Catalina seems a little buggy to my mind. To be fair though I am using eyeTV software which was probably built for mojave or high sierra. You can get USB multiports cheaply but I think they come unpowered so you can't use mobile hard drives through them & they are probably slower than a direct connection.

I didn't go for earlier iMac than the iMacPro I have now because they had fusion drive and I'd read people had had problems with them. I have SSD in mine.?
Couple of our local Mac club members have bought plugin things that clasp at the bottom of the Mac with ports to the front to plug things in rather than reach round the back. Can't tell you what they are called but I will find out because I'm fed up of reaching round the back of mine and you can never have too many ports eh. I bought an Apple SuperDrive when I realised my husband's Mac we'd ordered didn't come with built in CD burner/drive. ?The Apple Superdrive is not cheap. Whereas Samsung slot loading ones can be bought for very cheap in Aus. ?I think from experience maybe the slot loader is better than the Apple Superdrive....got a disk stuck in the first one and took it back and demanded another machine and the Apple shop tried handing it back to me and telling me various methods of ejecting disks which I had already tried - stood my ground and told tech to do it. Great struggle but got disk out for me --- and I got a replacement ?Superdrive.?
