CONTROL-Y doesn't Always Work

开云体育

I am using Outlook 365 and Win 11.

I am noticing that sometimes CONTROL-Y doesn’t work and I can’t switch folders.

I end up having to close and reopen Outlook and it will work once, but when I try it again it doesn’t.

Hi Andy and all,

?

I also find that intermittently Control+y to change folders doesn’t work (outlook365) but from memory restarting works, but frequently when this happens I just revert to using Shift+F6 and keep going rather than restarting Outlook..

I Have found this as well and re-starting Microsoft Outlook seems to work, the classic version.

I love this group! I had completely forgotten about control+y and usually use control+shift+tab, which can be glitchy. I just tried control+y and it is much easier! Shift+f6 works too!

Thanks!

I can't speak to what anyone might be doing, but remember that Ctrl + Y is the redo command in a very great many contexts, and if you happen to be in a context within Outlook where something could be re-done, that's probably what's happening.
?
The Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y undo-redo pair of commands are very widespread.
?
If Shift + F6 works, that's almost certain to not have any possibility of collision and be 100% reliable.?
