¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSometimes when I¡¯m replying to a message in Outlook 2016, and I want to attach a file, I am placed in the upper ribbon.? The attach file function is in the lower ribbon but I can¡¯t find a keystroke to get me to that ribbon. Any assistance is appreciated. ? ? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello, Michael. In the body of the message, just paste (Control V) the particular file you would have copied from its location. Attaching files became even easier. ? ?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI need to update my request.? Apparently, the attach file box is indeed in the upper ribbon but simply isn¡¯t reachable.? Thoughts? This only happens when I am replying to a message and not all the time. ? ? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIusually have people do Alt + N to get to the insert ribbon and then A followed by F to get to attach file. ?What¡¯s really cool is you can pick a file from the drop-down where it lists recent files you have accessed.?
Hope that helps!

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSorry, I think I specified you¡¯d paste the file you had already copied from its location and yes, the command there is control c. Pasting such copied file anywhere in the message body will attach it. You may verify it has attached by doing insert a or shift tab to the attach field. I hope this maike better sense for you now. ? ?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýTo all, ? Go to where you have located the file you wish to paste in to an email, copy it with Control+C keyboard shortcut. Navigate to your email message, in the body of the message, paste with control+V shortcut and your file is attached. ? ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]>

Alt + N to get to the insert ribbon and then A followed by F to get to attach file.- This is what I always do and teach if multiple files are to be attached from the same folder, or even collected over multiple folders. If it's a single file and somewhere you already happen to have open in File Explorer, or a collection of files from that single folder that's already open, then I select, CTRL+C and then once back in the message body CTRL+V. That's the great thing about Windows, is there are generally at least two, usually more, proverbial roads to Rome. |
